The glorious GalaxyMeta Makeover is on today – Sunday, 13th April at the SLCN studios in Northpoint – and everyone is welcome.

This week our designer is Zandi Moe of Organised Confusion, and we’ll be making over a VIP cabin on the fabulous three-sim cruise liner The Galaxy, designed and created by Bill Stirling.

The programme is presented by Saffia Widdershins, the Editor of Prim Perfect Magazine – she’ll be talking to Bill Stirling in the studio about the Galaxy, his other builds and his plans.

And we’ll be showing you something of life on the Galaxy – and a very special Galaxy gift will be given to everyone in the audience for the show.

The show starts at 12 noon SLT, but you should be there by 11.45 to make sure of getting a seat.

We’ll see you there!

In today’s show, Saffia is wearing Kaja by Ivalde in black, for her exploration of the ship, and Freydis in red by  Ivalde in the studio.

“I have had the Kaja outfits in my inventory for a year now,” says Saffia.  “I bought the full range of colour choices a year ago when we were covering Prim Perfect for the second issue of the magazine because, really, what could be more appropriate than a sailor suit for exploring a cruise liner?  I have always loved the detailing of the sailor suit collar – it reminds me of a Laura Ashley dress that I owned -a good many years ago now!  And I think it’s a real measure of Neferia Abel’s design skills that it doesn’t date at all!”

The second outfit, Freydis, however, comes from the latest release range.  “I adore this dress,” says Saffia.  “I need to wear a system skirt in the studio – I don’t want to lose half my outfit into the cushions!  And this design has a gorgeous neckline, with really sensational sleeves.  Neferia’s styles are always elegant – but this makes me feel downright glamorous!”

Saffia in the OrkneysWe’re very pleased to announce an exciting new partnership for Meta Makeover.

Neferia Abel of Ivalde is going to be the designer for the Meta Makeover show presenter, Saffia Widdershins.  Ivalde is one of the most popular stores in Second Life, and Neferia produces a wide range of lovely designs – in fact, you’ve already seen Saffia wearing some of them, like this cute little plaid skirt that made its appearance in Episode 5, when Saffia visited the Orkney Isles.  And the lovely jersey dress she wore in the studio on that show was specially made for her by Neferia!

“I’m very excited about this partnership,” says Saffia.  “The Meta Makeover homes are located in a huge variety of sims, and I like to dress for the sim.  Neferia designs for a really wide range of situations – it will be fun matching the outfit to the sim.

“And even more importantly, Neferia designs in a way that I really like – good quality, elegant clothes that are flattering and a real pleasure to wear!”

So watch out for Saffia’s outfits on Meta Makeover – and check them out for yourselves (along with many more) at the Ivalde store.

The Orkney IslandsOur fifth show came from the stunningly beautiful Orkney Islands – and I think everyone involved in the show fell in love with the setting – our production team, the SLCN team, and the designer, Yolanda Hirvi of Metaversal Arts, who is setting up a new sim attached to the islands after doing the meta makeover there!

See the show live on the web (it lasts about forty minutes) as Yolanda give Solanghe Sarlo’s cottage on the harbourside a meta makeover – and meet in the studio Tim Merserau, one of the designers of this stunning place.

And, as a special treat, you can see the film that SLCN made of the Orkney Isles separately too – it lasts about three minutes.
