Meta Makeover is the hit, live weekly Second Life Homes & Gardens show from SLCN, Second Life’s leading cable network – brought to you by Prim Perfect productions, the people behind Prim Perfect magazine and the Prim Perfect blog. From its roots as a makeover show, the programme has now branched out into a magazine format adding interviews and visits to some of the most impressive locations in Second Life.
The show goes out live every Tuesday at 2pm SLT, and is presented by Saffia Widdershins, the Editor of Prim Perfect Magazine, and Elrik Merlin of Radio Riel.
In a typical makeover-style show, we take a house and make it over, deploying up to three skilled designers – who might tackle a room each, or a floor, or a garden. They’ll be interviewed about why they’ve made the choices that they have – with the delighted (or appalled) owner having a chance to say what they love or loathe about their new home.
On other occasions, we’ll talk to home owners who have recently had their homes remodelled and the designers who helped them do it.
On every show, you’ll meet some of the top builders, creators and designers in Second Life – and you’re guaranteed a wealth of new ideas, products and venues.
We also broadcast live from our modern state-of-the-art studios in Northpoint, in front of a live audience – and when we are on location you can watch the show go out live on the big screen.
To keep up to date, bookmark this blog – and for in-world updates, click on a Meta Makeover Subscribe-a-Matic. You’ll find them in Northpoint, at Prim Perfect headquarters in Oliveto and at the Prim Perfect Offices on Venice Island!
And if you want to watch the show again, there’ll be repeats on the SLCN Lifestyle channel. Or you can watch it again on the web at the SLCN website. Or you can download it from the iTunes store to watch on iTunes – or even on your iPod!
